Watch Now

Date:  Wednesday,  August 26th, 2015

Time:   8pm EST (5pm PST)

Summary:

Looking for answers to tough sleep questions? Wondering why impaired sleep seems to plague so many of your patients, regardless of diagnosis? Finding yourself frustrated searching for effective therapies for your sleep-disordered patients? This webinar is for you – a well-rounded overview of sleep medicine coupled with clinical advances in therapeutic choices. Participants in this webinar can expect to refresh their current knowledge about healthy and poor sleep states. Specifically, molecular pathways of appetite regulation and cognitive function in poor sleep states will be addressed at length. Based on this foundation, participants will learn about new advances in sleep medicine, both in biological architecture and clinical therapy.

Participants can expect to learn about the following topics:

  • General overview of healthy vs. impaired sleep (what each "looks" like), as we know it today
  • Sleep and appetite regulation
  • Sleep and cognitive function (neurotransmitters, hormones and cytokines)
  • Specific overview/description of sleep therapies and why some may help while others do not
