Date:  Wednesday,  February 8th,2017

Time:  8pm EST (5pm PST)

Summary:

PCOS was long considered a gynecologic hormonal problem; we now know it is yet another manifestation of the “western cluster” of conditions that has its roots in metabolic syndrome, and which pose not just immediate disconcerting symptoms for the patient, but potential lifelong consequences if not treated effectively. The good news with PCOS is that there are clear pathways that lead women to this metabolic and hormonal imbalance, and evidence-based methods for helping them recover from active symptoms, and also protecting their long-term health. How can you get to the root causes of each woman's unique imbalances without expensive testing and excessive use of supplements – and what is the proven natural protocol for PCOS?

In this talk we’ll explore five root causes that contribute to PCOS and the natural strategies you can use to reverse these. We’ll also look at the use of medications – when and if they are ever appropriate in the management of blood sugar or hormones. Join Dr. Romm as she discusses this complex and increasingly common condition.
