Men's Health: Moving Beyond Conventional Options

Date:  Wednesday,  December 13, 2017

Time:  8pm EST (5pm PST)

Summary:

In today's environment, the clinician is presented with the opportunity to change the trajectory of a man's health. Now more than ever, men are seeking care for problems that have traditionally been less discussed. Yet, now with less stigma around discussing these topics and an appreciation that the decline in physiological function is not limited to females, but equally a factor in a man's life, men are seeking care. However, advertising and an upsurge in the opening of male focused clinics might initially lead the consumer to seek out such care with a short sighted view that testosterone replacement is a panacea. For the functionally minded clinician though, this inherently feels wrong. Little investigation of underlying causes, lack of detailed endocrine assessments and narrowed focus on sexual vigor have become the norm, even though seemingly inadequate. This leaves more detailed oriented clinicians asking what else can be done. This webinar delves into answering that question for the most common health challenges facing men.

Dr. Arland Hill's webinar objectives:

  • Understand the most common men's health issues beyond merely a testosterone deficiency
  • Present new perspectives on the etiology of low testosterone, erectile dysfunction and prostate dysfunction
  • Present a case for younger men taking proactive steps to minimize prostate conditions later in life
  • Introduce novel therapeutic options that can be used as standalone or adjunct therapies

Dr. Arland Hill

Dr. Hill is a seasoned functional medicine clinician with 15 years of experience. He has a successful practice just outside of Houston, TX where he shares his passion for blending the science of functional medicine with core lifestyle habits. His routine observation of physiological challenges faced by men, even those in the 3rd and 4th decades of life, sparked his interest to investigate approaches that could impact a man’s health without increasing risk factors later in life. Through this process, Dr. Hill has compiled strategies that his male patients have come to depend on. He has helped manage and resolve some of the most commonly faced men’s health issues, including low testosterone, erectile dysfunction and prostate dysfunction. It is Dr. Hill’s goal to provide hope to men that the conventional options, which are often positioned as the only option, are merely a fraction of the possible ways that men can support their health throughout the lifespan.
