Mark Houston, MD, MS, FACP, FAHA
Dr. Houston is Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Director of the Hypertension Institute at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. He graduated from Vanderbilt Medical School, completed his Internal Medicine Training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and served as Chief Resident in Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Houston is Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM), Hypertension (ASH Specialist in Clinical Hypertension), and Anti-Aging Medicine (ABAAM). He also holds a Masters of Science (MS) degree in Human Nutrition.
Having published over 170 medical articles, abstracts, book chapters, and monographs, his recent best-selling books include What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Hypertension, Handbook of Hypertension for Students and Clinicians, and Vascular Biology for Clinicians. Dr. Houston specializes in hypertension, hyperlipidemia, preventive cardiology, human nutrition, and anti-aging medicine.
Jeffrey Moss, DDS, CNS, DACBN
A graduate of the University of Michigan Dental School, Dr. Moss is committed to educating the next generation of natural practitioners. Since 1987, he has been the editor of a monthly newsletter for professionals, the Moss Nutrition Report, providing review and commentary on controversial and cutting-edge issues facing the practice of nutritional medicine. He is coauthor of the Textbook of Nutritional Medicine with Mel Werbach, M.D. A member of the post-graduate faculty at New York Chiropractic College, the faculty of the University of Bridgeport masters program in nutrition, and a past president of the International and American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists (IAACN), Dr. Moss specializes in chronic health conditions such as allergies, weight loss, stress physiology, and adrenal and thyroid disorders.
Rebecca Murray, APRN, FNP, MSN, CDE
As a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Educator, Rebecca Murray has over 30 years of experience in the field of diabetes management and the prevention of medical complications associated with diabetes and obesity. She has particular expertise in the area of women's health, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), with the goal of achieving optimal hormonal balance and quality of life.
Ms. Murray is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing at Yale University School of Nursing (adjunct faculty), and speaks nationally on the subject of metabolic syndrome and the chronic health problems associated with obesity and insulin resistance. She also maintains a private practice focusing on the use of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for the prevention and treatment of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and other chronic health problems.
John Peldyak, DMD
John Peldyak received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University in 1980. Since then, he has been in private practice dentistry, and also works with the Mobile Dentists in-school program.
As a member of the University of Michigan research group (1986-1992), Dr. Peldyak investigated the use of sucrose substitutes for caries prevention. He is also a cofounder of the Academy of Dental Resources, which is known for their innovative dental prevention and continuing education programs.
Dr. Peldyak is the author of Sweet Smart (Alternative Sweeteners), Advanced Developments, Inc., 1996.
