Date: Wednesday, May 8, 2019

Time: 7:00 - 8:00pm EST

Summary:

Oxidative Stress is believed to contribute to the development of osteoarthritis and to fuel the inflammation and damage in autoimmune arthritis, too. Oxidative stress occurs when you don’t have enough antioxidants to keep up with cell and tissue damage caused by free radicals. Recent studies have clearly shown a correlation between high levels of oxidative stress in the joints and markers for oxidative stress in both blood and urine. The good news is that by following these oxidative stress markers, we can follow improvement and predict relapse in our arthritis patients. In this webinar, Dr. Blum will use patient cases to review oxidative stress markers, how to use them for assessment and treatment, including her favorite food, supplement and treatment protocols.

Clinical takeaways:

  • Learn about the role of oxidative stress in triggering inflammatory arthritis.
  • Understand how to test for oxidative stress and how to interpret the results as a way to direct your treatment.
  • Learn how to find and treat the root causes of oxidative stress, which might be food, stress, gut health, toxicity or infections.
