Quality & Manufacturing

At Designs for Health, quality is rooted in science and built into every step—from sourcing raw materials to verifying finished products. Our strict quality policy and supplier qualification program clearly define expectations for our company-owned manufacturing facilities and closely managed global partners, ensuring full compliance with FDA Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

We go beyond vendor documentation, applying rigorous, science-based specifications informed by authoritative references like the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). The result? Products that deliver exactly what the label promises—because quality isn’t a checkbox—it’s a commitment rooted in science.

Vendor Qualification Program

The majority of our supplements are made in Designs for Health-owned facilities in Arlee, Montana, and Henderson, Nevada—giving us full control over our strict quality protocols. For everything else, we partner only with suppliers who meet our exacting standards.

Our vendor qualification program is rigorous, scientific, and ongoing. Every supplier undergoes a detailed assessment of their manufacturing controls, documentation practices, and testing procedures. Even when a vendor supplies a Certificate of Analysis, we dig deeper. Is it the correct plant part? Is the active compound present at a clinically relevant level? Does the documentation reflect real quality—or just paperwork?

We don’t rely on assumptions—we verify. That includes:

  • Thorough vendor evaluations
  • In-depth documentation and SOP review
  • Review of manufacturing and quality control processes
  • Proof of independent testing and monitoring programs for both raw materials and finished goods

If a material doesn’t meet our specifications, we reject it—simple as that.

About the Program

Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)

Superior Materials

We use only qualified, superior raw materials—and we don’t compromise. That means rejecting ingredients that fall short of our standards, even when it’s inconvenient. It means disassembling and sanitizing equipment between every run—not relying on quick flushes. And it means investing millions into smarter systems and automation that don’t just speed up production—they help us uphold excellence. From start to finish, we’re committed to doing what’s right, not just what’s easy.

Our Quality Policy

Our quality promise goes far beyond industry minimums. At Designs for Health, every formula is backed by a rigorous evaluation process that confirms key measures of quality—helping ensure that what’s on the label is exactly what’s in the bottle.

Each ingredient is tested for:

  • Identity – Is it the right ingredient from the right source?
  • Purity – Is it tested for contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides, and microbes?
  • Quality – Does it meet our high standards for consistency and integrity?
  • Strength – Does it contain the right active compounds in the right amounts?
  • Composition – Is it formulated to deliver reliable, effective results?

We apply this framework consistently across every product—so practitioners and patients can trust what they’re getting, every time.

Potent and Effective Results

True quality starts with intention—and follows through at every step. From sourcing raw materials to shipping the final product, we maintain strict quality control standards designed to protect potency, purity, and efficacy.

That means:

  • Choosing scientifically validated ingredients
  • Manufacturing in FDA-inspected, cGMP-compliant facilities
  • Testing all materials through ISO-certified third-party labs
  • Verifying every lot for strength, identity, and contaminant levels

The result? Supplements that deliver on their promise—and earn your trust with every order.

All Designs for Health® ingredients are tested against their specifications for potency, purity, and identity, and against contamination at external ISO certified laboratories.
