Osteoben®
Vitamin and Mineral Bone Health Formula with Calcium, Magnesium, Vitamins D and K, Zinc, and Genistein (Non-Soy Phytoestrogen) for Bone Strength, Bone Mineral Density, and Physical Structure of Bone Tissue*
Key Performance Benefits
- Supports bone strength and health*
- Provides nutrients necessary for the physical structure and proper maintenance of bone tissue*
- Helps maintain healthy bone mineral density*
What This Product Is
Osteoben is a vitamin and mineral blend formulated to support bone strength and health. It provides nutrients and other compounds necessary for the physical structure and proper maintenance of bone tissue. A natural decline in bone strength and mineralization is common among older women, but this problem is not exclusive to this population. Aging men and younger women may also experience compromised bone health for a number of reasons related to diet and lifestyle.*
The nutrients delivered in Osteoben are available naturally in food (or can be synthesized with the help of sunlight, as with vitamin D), but many people do not consume adequate amounts of these nutrients and may need supplementation to reach optimal levels, especially if they are already experiencing a natural decline in bone health. Additionally, certain pharmaceutical drugs and medical conditions may increase the need for these nutrients above that which would typically be obtained from diet alone.*
Mechanism of Action
Calcium and Magnesium: Structural Bone Minerals
Calcium is the mineral most associated with bone health — 99% of the body’s calcium is found in the skeleton. However, bones are made of far more than just calcium; they are also abundant in magnesium, with bones housing approximately 60% of the body’s magnesium. Together, these minerals provide the structural foundation for bone strength and integrity.*
Vitamins D, K, and Zinc: Bone Mineralization Regulators
Vitamin D stimulates the body to absorb more calcium from food and directs the kidneys to excrete less calcium to help restore proper levels. Vitamin K is often described as a “traffic cop” for calcium — it helps direct calcium to be deposited into the bones and teeth where it is desirable, and reduces the potential for it to build up in soft tissues such as blood vessels and joints. Zinc plays an essential role in the structure of many proteins, including vitamin D receptors inside cells.*
Genistein: Non-Soy Phytoestrogen for Bone Density
Genistein is an isoflavone from the Japanese sophora tree (not soy-derived). It is a non-soy phytoestrogen shown to help maintain healthy bone mineral density. The natural decline in estrogen levels after menopause is believed to play a role in decreased bone mineral density in older women. Genistein has estrogen-like effects which may have the potential to favorably influence some of the processes the body’s own estrogen participates in, such as bone maintenance.*

Product Questions
How does Osteoben compare to OsteoForce and OsteoForce Supreme for bone health?
Osteoben provides calcium, magnesium, vitamins D and K, zinc, plus genistein — a unique non-soy phytoestrogen that supports bone mineral density through estrogen-like effects. OsteoForce features a 2:1 calcium-to-magnesium ratio bound to malic acid, chelated trace minerals, geranylgeraniol, and DeltaGold® tocotrienols. OsteoForce Supreme adds MBP® milk protein and higher vitamin D. Choose Osteoben for phytoestrogen-based bone density support, OsteoForce for comprehensive mineral/vitamin bone support, or Supreme for maximum support with MBP®.*
Is genistein safe since it has estrogen-like effects?
The genistein in Osteoben is derived from the Japanese sophora tree, not soy, minimizing potential concerns about soy-based compounds. Genistein is a phytoestrogen — a plant compound that may favorably influence some estrogen-dependent processes like bone maintenance. It has been shown to help maintain healthy bone mineral density. As with any supplement, individuals should consult their health-care practitioner, especially those with hormone-sensitive conditions.*
Who may benefit most from Osteoben?
Postmenopausal women experiencing natural bone density decline who want phytoestrogen-based support, aging men and younger women with bone health concerns related to diet and lifestyle, individuals who may not consume adequate bone-supportive nutrients from diet alone, and anyone taking pharmaceutical drugs or having medical conditions that increase the need for bone-supportive nutrients.*
